What is plant-based eating?
It is a diet consisting mostly of plant-based food and no animals, you are not necessarily vegetarian or vegan but live by the principle of eating whole foods and plant-based food as your main source of nutrition.

Scientific research was highlighted in the book The China Study showing that a plant-based diet can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, certain types of cancer, and other major illnesses. Many other studies have shown animal protein increases the growth of cancer including cow milk protein (caseins).
When moving to a plant-based diet, we then have to consider genetically modified crops and pesticides. Which is why it is important to eat organic where possible and avoid GMO food.
A lot of people have concerns over not getting the right proteins and nutrition from plant-based eating along, it is important to get a variety of whole foods within the diet and to consider speaking to a nutritionist before making the switch.
